Dustin R. Schmidt

Dustin joined the Soukup, Bush & Associates team in September of 2023, and brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience to the firm. He graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2016 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and spent the next several years working at one of the largest Colorado-owned and managed accounting firms providing tax services for a variety of clients and industries but primarily focused on clients in the real estate and construction industries, their owners, and other closely held investment groups. Dustin moved to Fort Collins in 2022 to pursue his Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) – Taxation Specialization at Colorado State University and is ambitiously studying for the CPA.  Graduating in December 2023, he’s on the home stretch now!

He loves to travel and enjoys spending time with his sister, brother-in-law, and three-year-old nephew, Desmond, camping/exploring, biking, cooking, and hanging out at the park with his dog, Bobby.
